Saved?

If you were offered a chance to live forever, would you take it? How about a chance to live eternally surrounded with a pure and Sacred Love? What about infinite life with no temptation, that is, everything you do being righteous and successful, would you accept? What’s the catch? No catch. It’s a free gift from Christ. Aha, you say! Here’s another evangelist promising salvation for a donation! Look around, dear reader. Do you see a donation button anywhere? The fact is, I’m not getting one single cent for the message I’m about to give you. The message is free. You must realize though, that the message is in two parts; The Good News, and the bad news. Starting with the bad news, I must tell you that we are all destined to walk through death’s door. Our enemy the devil tempted our ancestors Adam and Eve (in their innocence) with a lie. In The Book of Genesis, you can read where they chose to believe the devil’s lie instead of God’s Truth, thereby sealing their (and our) fate. We inherited the terrible sinful nature which condemns us to not only the first but also the second death. Oh yes, there are two deaths. The first is the death of the body. The second is the spiritual death. Spiritual death is not a restful, peaceful state of existence. It is eternal separation from The Creator, characterized by suffering and torment which lasts forever. There is no pain on earth that can compare to it, and it never ends. That is the price we pay for the sins we commit due to our sinful nature. Think I’m making this up? No, dear reader, I’m just a messenger of this bad news. It comes from what I sincerely believe to be God’s Word, The Bible. It says “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23) and in Romans 6: 23, it also says that the wages of sin is death. That is the bad news. Now for the Good News! There is more to Romans 6: 23 than just the wages of sin. It goes, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” See, God knew that Adam and Eve’s sin was the result of their being lied to. He immediately set a plan in motion to save all who wanted Salvation. It involved a sacrifice which would pay the price of all mankind’s sin. Since the wages of sin is death, the sacrifice would have to be completely pure and free of any wrong. Only then could they pay the price of someone else’s sin. God’s Son came to earth in the form of a man. This Son of Man lived a perfect life, completely sinless. When He was killed by the corrupt officials of those days, His Divine Nature caused His death to pay the price of all mankind’s sin. Not only that, but on the third day of His being dead, He arose (completely alive) breaking the power of sin and death forever. Now, to obtain Salvation from the second death and live in Heaven eternally, all one must do is repent of their sin and pray. Pray to The Good Lord, confessing one’s sins, asking forgiveness of those sins, and requesting Salvation to live eternally in The Kingdom of Heaven. Then ask God for the strength to live the rest of your earthly life for Him. That’s it. All you have to do is ask. That’s the Good News. Once you’ve done that, I’d say you need a Bible and a good commentary for it. You need to study God’s Word (the commentary I use is “Halley’s Bible Handbook”). The next suggestion I would make is to attend Church. Find one that is serious about preaching The Word of God as The Bible presents it.

As I said earlier, Salvation is a Free Gift from God. I don’t make any money for telling you this, I’m not promoting any one Church that I’m affiliated with, and you don’t even have to contact me. Your salvation is between you and The Lord Jesus. It’s up to you now, but don’t wait too long. None of us are guaranteed another day on earth.
